California Bill Would Require More Information Included in Notices of Sale

UTA is working diligently to amend language to SB 4 - introduced by California State Senator Ron Calderon - that requires trustees to include in Notices of Sale, specified information for property owners and potential bidders at foreclosure sales.  The bill also requires trustees to make sale information available to interested parties.

UTA is working with the bill’s authors to refine the language on the required notices, and on the language relating to the provision of sale information.  Most California Trustees currently maintain telephone lines or Internet sites with sales information.
