Dinner Events and “101” Course Held
30 students enjoyed the UTA’s California Foreclosure 101 Program on July 14th. The class was taught by Linda Kidder, Senior Vice President of T.D. Service Company, and Stephen T. Hicklin, Esq., Wright Finlay & Zak.
The 101 course covers basic industry terminology; a review and understanding of documents; the information provided by the lender; and provides an understanding of all phases in the trustee’s timeline.
On July 14th, UTA held a dinner event in Granada Hills, California, with 70 attendees. They enjoyed an excellent presentation by T. Robert Finlay, Esq. of Wright Finlay & Zak and Stephen T. Hicklin, Esq., who recently joined Wright Finlay & Zak. They discussed the recently effective Los Angeles Ordinance; the Mabry decision; and SB 1275. The event is sponsored by RSVP.
On June 3rd, over 100 UTA members enjoyed a comprehensive dinner presentation by Phillip Adleson, Esq., Adleson, Hess & Kelly, Martin T. McGuinn, Esq., Kirby & McGuinn and Ronald D. Roup, Esq., Roup & Associates. The presentation addressed California legislation; UTA’s Amicus Brief in the 3 Arch case; HAMP; and additional court cases. The event was sponsored by LPSA Agency Sales & Posting.
