Foreclosures Illegal on Renters in Los Angeles


A one-year ordinance signed into Los Angeles city law by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa would  make it illegal for renters whose residences have gone into foreclosure to be evicted until the property is sold to a new owner. The law will impact 300,000 apartment buildings and single-family homes.
