70 attendees enjoyed a dinner presentation in Orange County by UTA’s California lobbyist, Michael Belote on April 24th. Mike reported on the California legislature’s response to the rise in defaults and foreclosures, including legislation impacting nonjudicial foreclosure and legislation that affects Trustee’s Sale Guarantees.  Mike expounded on the relevant legislation in both the State Senate and State Assembly and how it all might be reconciled this year.

The excellent dinner event was sponsored by FIS Default Solutions.  Attendees enjoyed great raffle giveaways from FIS including several bottles of fine wine from Executive Chairman Bill Foley’s Foley Estates Vineyard and Winery.  Other raffle prizes were provided from First American Title, Daily Journal and the United Trustees Association.
