Offered on June 18th

UTA will offer the California Intermediate (Level II) Foreclosure Certification Course and Exam on Wednesday, June 18th in Orange County.  The course begins at 10:00 am, with the one hour, open-book exam scheduled for 3:00 pm.  There will be a break for lunch.

Course instructors are Phillip M. Adleson, Esq., of Adleson, Hess & Kelly, and Ronald D. Roup, Esq., of Roup & Associates. In order to sit for UTA’s California Intermediate Foreclosure Certification Exam (Level 2), members must pass the California Basic Foreclosure Exam (Level I).

The Intermediate (Level II) Foreclosure Certification Course Syllabus includes; complex foreclosures including multiple notes, multiple deeds of trust, cross-default clauses, mixed collateral loans, mechanics liens, IRS liens, special federal liens, special issues at the sale, forbearance or workout agreements and Bankruptcy (in more depth than required for basic certification).

In order to be a Level II Certified Trustee Sale Officer, one must pass the Level II certification exam with a score of at least 70%. (Non-members may take the course and exam but may not be certified unless they become a member within 30 days of sitting for the exam.)

Certification provides a measurement to recognize the skills and knowledge necessary to perform as a Trustee. UTA certification is designed so that employers and consumers will have confidence in the recipient's thorough knowledge of the non-judicial foreclosure process.
