Attendance Is Strong for
UTA California Foreclosure 101 Course
Course Will Be Offered in Northern California

84 paid registrants took UTA’s new basic course – “California Foreclosure 101” – on February 8th in Orange County and February 20th in Los Angeles County.  The course is designed for employees who are new in the default/foreclosure industry.  Course instructors were Bernadette Bras, ServiceLink; Randy Fernando, Orange Coast Title; Linda Kidder, T.D. Service Company; and Randy Newman, National Foreclosure Service.

The three-hour California Foreclosure 101 course covers basic industry terminology; what foreclosure is; and what information the lender provides, and why.  After taking the course, attendees will have an understanding of all phases in the trustee’s timeline.  The course reviews and provides samples of relevant documents as well as basic information concerning TSGs and other title issues.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for companies to send their new hires and those that might need a brush-up to this expertly taught introductory course,” said Vickie Adams, UTA’s Education Committee Co-Chair.  A Texas Foreclosure 101 course will be held in May in Dallas.  Other state foreclosure courses will be held in the future as well.

The California Foreclosure 101 course will be held again on:

March 12th, 1:30 pm – 5:00 pm (Registration at 1:00 pm) – Concord, CA
Course Instructors:
  • Elizabeth Knight, PLM Lender Services
  • Randy Fernando, Orange Coast Title
