Orawin Velz will provide an Economic Forecast at the United Trustees Association Annual Conference on Monday, November 17th during the Association’s annual luncheon, held at the Red Rock Resort, Casino & Spa in Las Vegas. Ms. Velz, the Senior Director of Economic Forecasting in the Research and Economics group at the Mortgage Bankers Association, will focus on the default servicing industry and residential mortgage lending issues while providing economic and policy analysis of trends in the housing and mortgage markets. Her economic forecast will focus on those markets and their impact on the economy.

For five years prior to joining MBA, Velz was a senior economist in the Economics and Mortgage Market Analysis department at Fannie Mae, where she produced monthly forecasts for the Board of Director's use in business planning. Prior to that, she was with the National Association of Realtors for 10 years, most recently as a managing director in the research division. Velz received her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Connecticut.
